San Antonio Zoo (From Buckles)

This is my father visiting the San Antonio Zoo I think in the late 1920's.
That's a pretty flimsy area for that young tusker.

Was he also visiting circus historian Sturtevant and collector Hertzberg? Hertzberg was a supporter of the zoo, I believe. Any idea when he first met those gentlemen?
