GOSSING'S AFRICAN LIONS One of the truly great "dompteurs" to leave Europe in the past decade, Guy Gossing enjoys an enviable reputation with all of Europe's larger circuses. Gossing believes in showing his lions rather than himself. The unique tricks performed by his animals are all the more hazardous by his proximity to them. Gossing literally takes his life in his hands when he turns himself into a human arch and permits his animals to leave the cage by passing at breakneck speed through his parted legs. Besides the European continent, the Great Gossing has also been starred with circuses throughout Africa, The West Indies, Madagascar and India. He was born in Belgium.
