MSG 1994 #2

Scan10750, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

As I recall we took all the elephants except "Tommy" and the mothers and babies for a total of 18.
Seen here are Rick Boger, myself and Sonny.
In the back ground directly behind the Garden is the Post Office.

Buckles,
I don't know if they did this when you were there:

Prior to April 15, tax deadline day, the gsoe publicity dept arranges for the elephants and clowns to pose in front of the Post Office with an oversized letter representing a tax return. This staged event always makes the papers and television news.

Clowns in New York sending money to the clowns in Washington. Next year the clowns and elephants should walk the money down to Wall Street and save the stamp.

The publicity is always excellent in NY--the elephants (2) at the Bronx Zoo who are full-time NY residents get little or no press while the Ringling elephants have so many press opportunities that they almost live outside the building. You are definitely aware that Ringling is in town, a turbo marketing and publicity department. Way to go RBBB.
