From Roger Smith

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MICKEY ROONEY, 88 TODAY.

Born April 23, 1920, New York City, as Joe Yule, Jr. Over 318 film credits in the longest film acting career in cinematic history, beginning with Not to Be Trusted, in 1926, in which he played a midget, and continuing to this day.

Co-starred in Clyde Beatty's first two films, The Big Cage (1933), and The Lost Jungle (1934).

It was my pleasure to take my mother to see him in Sugar Babies, at the State Fair Music Hall, in Dallas, in which he co-starred with the late Ann Miller.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MICKEY, AND MANY MORE TO COME ON-SCREEN AND OFF.

Roger Smith
