Circus World Wardrobe #7

Of all the things Don came up with, this robe impressed me the most. He called it a back-stage robe and told Barbara it was something to wear before and after the act.
He said that he made it extra long so it would flow luxuriously.

I SAY WITH ALL DUE RESPECT AND RESPECT AND ADMIRATION ARE CERTAINLY DUE...IT'S NOT THE SACK; IT'S THE POTATOES THAT COUNT.

REMINDS ME ONCE AGAIN OF THE COMMENT MADE TO ME IN A LETTER FROM THE LATE HAROLD RONK, "BARBARA WOODCOCK, THE QUINTESSENTIAL CIRCUS PERFORMER."

AND IF I MAY BE SO BOLD...WOW! IS CERTAINLY ANOTHER APPROPRIATE COMMENT.

ALL BEST,

PAUL GUTHEIL

How does one select the most beautiful photo of Barbara? But this one has to rank among the best of them.

I don't know of another performer with the pull and prestige to have the top designer create a robe just to be worn backstage.

Fabulous, as always.

Many of us looked to Barbara as the "gold standard" on circus performers. Myself included.
