Lucia Zora (Mrs. Alispaw) and "Snyder". This hind leg walk was done down the front track and must have been sensational, particularly if you were in the front row,
I lifted this picture out of my copy of Courtney Riley Cooper's book about the Alispaws "Sawdust and Solitude" which when asked, my dad always described as "the worst kind of trash".

They serve as a footrest in this instance, but what are the pros and cons of the brass fittings on an elephant's tusks, besides having to be polished and the expense of fitting them and keeping the usable?
