Sells Floto-Buffalo Bill 1914-15 #8

I always thought these parade trappings were outstanding.
The banner on top of each elephant in this 1915 picture, gives it's name, age and weight.
"Mary", "Trilby", "Floto", "Freida" and "Snyder"

Imagine how embarrassed those old girls would have been by displaying all that personal information. If shows put anything other than a blanket, a howdah or banners that earned money on the back of an elephant during parade it was unusual. This was exceptional. This is a much better view than the well known one where they're all lined up side by side.
