Darlene.
I worked with Vashek, back in the "early day's"(earlier then I care to admit at times), and did not realize he was your cousin. He was a very helpful, supportive individual, and my thoughts are with you and your family.

Darlene:
I, too worked with Vashek back in the early '80's on the Beatty show. He was always the consummate performer! I remember we were on (one of many) mud lots. I was waiting for finale in the back & chatting with Jimmy James (Ringmaster) while Kathy & Vashek were doing the act. Suddenly Jimmy "whistled" the act to a conclusion. As I looked down, I noticed the "dead-man" that had Vashek's rigging anchored to the ground was precariously moving through the mud each time the motorcycle ascended the wire. Vashek was confused and seemed little preturbed by the abrupt decision...until Jimmy pointed to the stakes...Which said it all.
Our Thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family.
