1897 Ringling Route Book #1 (From Buckles)

DSC02562_mod, originally uploaded by bucklesw1. George Lockhart brought his 5 elephants to the Ringling Show in 1896. At what point they were sold to the Ringlings is unknown to me. A similar set of photos shows this act in rehearsal next to the elephant barn in Baraboo however these with a backdrop were possibly taken at the show's opening stand at Tattersalls in Chicago.
