A man of many talents! #1 (From Vincent Manero)

Scan000010454, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

Shannon spent all day Saturday on the Universoul lot at the Tampa Fairgrounds with his buddy Randy. While there he was given these pictures by a gentleman visiting from Switzerland and who was familiar with our Blog.
Unfortunately, other than a business card, there was no information of any kind. I'm guessing this is Flavio Togni but it has been 17 years since I met him last.
I eMailed this picture to my Authority on Foreign Affairs, Raffaele De Ritis but no reply as yet.

Yes, he is Flavio. Unfortunately I can't identify the elephant...
greetings

Raffaele

Buckles,
Yes, you are right on as usual as that is Flavio and I met him on Ringling many years ago and what a wonderful great trainer he is.
The only photo missing from the group is him with his rhino if he still does that.
Flavio invited us back stage and for the first time on Ringling NO one came up to us and tried to run us off.
He autographed many items for me.
To me he and his family is the best in Europe.

Mr. Kingston, Flavio is very talented, and the horse number's he had on Ringling a number of years ago, were outstanding, and some of the best they have had. Wade Burck

Wade Burck,
You are also very talented trainer as I remember you from the Vargas days.
What I liked about Flavio is he was so nice to us fans. I brought him many circus items for his collection. When they went back home I heard that they had a container full of goodies.
Wade what I like about you, Buckles, Rudy and Sue Lentz, Pat Anthony, Red Hartman, Flavio, and many more yes were great circus stars but would stop and talk circus with us fans.
That is what circus is all about hearing what it takes to train animals the right way and there experiences under the big top.
The way it was.

Looks like Flavio has gained some weight with that good Italian cuisine. His acts on Ringling were all "par excellence" and his charismatic personality sure shined thru. He was quite personable to all of us as well.I saw some videos of his 16 horse act at Monte Carlo and the routines were great.

See that Wade, you are becoming a better trainer, by being nice. Keep up the nice work!!

Casey,
You know I have spent some time being schooled by "Princess Charming". You were even touched briefly by the magic wand, remember. Once you accept the fact you have to be about half phony, it is pretty easy, but in this case, new charm skill's aside, my statement about Flavio was sincere. And I think you know me well enough, that I wouldn't say it, unless I meant it.
P. S. how is the hind leg walk going? Wade Burck

Yes Wade,
I believe if you say someone is talented they are. I have become so proficient with the "Nicey Nice" I have convinced two prop guys and the clown, I am the second coming of GGW. As far as the hind leg walk, well I am walking up rite, and well, thats about it.

Actually thats not true Wade, I got one hoppin boards rite now.....
Shouldn't you be starting the 3 day load out... Good Luck, and drive safe
