Who gave the elephant Tina her education. Slivers or Jenda?

I was told by Sammy Haddock that he and Gary Jacobson put alot of the tricks on "Tina". I believe she is at the Riddles' place now (Mary?).

That is true, that Tina I beleive came out of the D.R. Miller herd. Gary broke the act on her at the Nugget. I worked her for a short time in 1983.

There were three elephants named “Tina” that performed the Nugget. Jenda trained “Tina” number one. I heard that the first one was sold to someone in Canada. Perhaps Buckles knows the correct information. The “Tina” that is in most of the pictures is the second one. She was trained by Slivers and stayed at the Nugget the longest. Buckles, do you know where “Tina II” is now, if she is still alive?
The third “Tina” came to the Nugget after Slivers died. Gary Jacobsen trained her. That is the one that Scott Riddle purchased and renamed “Mary”. She has since died.
I had Bertha perform a single act for several years until I was lucky enough to arrange the purchase of a baby from Roman Schmitt. (Spelling?) Roman managed to keep her alive even though “Angel” refused to nurse from her mother. She was the first elephant to be 100% hand raised. I was pleased that John Ascuaga, (the owner of the Nugget), did not insist she be renamed “Tina”. She was totally untrained when I received her in Nevada at ten months of age.
I saw a photo of another elephant that came to the Nugget. This was in between “Tina” number two and number three and was right before the endangered species act went into effect. It never had a name. It was a tiny baby that was flown into Reno from India. When Slivers saw it he told John Ascuaga, that she would be dead in a week. In the photo you could see that her umbilical cord had not even dried up. Slivers managed to keep it alive for almost a month. Someone in India basically killed a baby elephant for $10,000.

"Tina II" went on to the Beatty-Cole show. Last seen with "Jewel", Adam Hill and Bonnie Bale.
