this is a fantastic image. Poland 1932 was soon followed by Poland 1939 and WWII. I am working on the biography of a Holocaust survivor from Poland, below Krakow. The Staniewski circus was in Grybow, Poland, his home town in 1935. He was about 9 years old. He went to the lion keeper and asked if he could have a job. the answer was yes and he got to feed the lions daily for two weeks in return for a ticket to the circus and a little change.
