This is quite a photo. It doesn't seem like she could get a very good grip with her foot at that angle on a slick piece of ivory, but I guess she managed.
CASEY: If you have a rare book dealer nearby, have them look it up, and put it on order. They have a network like coin dealers use. Then go to Amazon.com, Abebooks, et al, on the internet to inquire. Be prepared, or course, to part with a pretty penny for a volume this old and rare. Good luck.

In case you can't see it, there is a brass knob on the end of each tusk.
I have a couple of those things on my fireplace mantle.
