Whitey Gross

Just heard from Termite Davenport that Whitey had recently passed away and will be buried tomorrow in Gonzales, Texas. Some of you Carson & Barnes people may remember him.
Whitey is seen here in 1958 with Herb Walters Show (George W. Cole Circus). Elephants are "Jess", "Myrtle" and "Norma" in front of the elephant barn in Hugo.

Right or wrong, back in the 70's when John Caroll, Whitey Gross, and Okie Carr were a team, that had to be as close to an elephant training factory as there has ever been. Wade Burck

And you would have to add Kenneth Ikirt in the 60's and early 70's as being part of that team. All great guys.
And Whitey Gross is not the same person as our ole Whitey who posts here.
