| The Circus Fans Association of America has created a new website WWW.CIRCUS4YOUTH.ORG in an effort to attract youngsters who participate in youth circuses as future CFA members. These photos are from the 2007 Peru, Indiana Youth Circus. While most youth circuses do not have animals (they are just not set up for them), the C4Y website often has positive references to circuses that do have animals. This project is less than one year old, and has already had over 20,000 visits to the web site. While many youth circuses pattern themselves after "new circus" (Cirque Du Soleil), there are many, such as Peru who still go the traditional route. We in the CFA Circus Youth Committee recognize and support both circus styles. We are also providing historical photos and articles for the kids, as we don't want circus history to be forgotten. |
