Ben took these pictures of Gee Gee Engesser and myself last Wednesday. I had never been to the classic Tampa Theater before and it was a perfect setting for a Lon Chaney movie since it was built in 1926.
This event was promoted by Gee Gee's daughter in law Sherry Powell who represents the Florida Orchestra and I might add the second of her events I have attended and both to capacity audiences.
The theater could only accomidate about half of the orchestra and had Robert Kaufman at the baton, vocalist Lisa Vroman (who had coincidently played "Christine" in the stage version of Phantom) and Dennis James at the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ.
