Where was he in 1936 with HW off the road? Russell Bros?

Buckles what elephants would Mr.Gardner have worked on the Polock Show during that time?

Dave, the H-W elephant herd remained at the Peru quarters all of 1936 with Cheerful and the crew on some sort of stipend while Gumpertz fielded offers from people interested in leasing the show.

This is at Pacific Coast Showman's Rest, a section of Evergreen Cemetery, in Los Angeles. I first visited this grave when we buried Arky Scott here. There is good company in Showman's Rest. Another great at his eternal peace here is Louis Roth.
