Could that be an elephant backing out?
Shape and size of a RINO.
This reminds me of a time 1978 at RB&BB Circus World ; for some reason there was a large Water Buffalo / Oxen (?) briefly on the lot & was time for it to leave - I couln't help but notice a commotion going on - there a group of men trying to load this very large animal into a trailer very unsuccesfully for 15 minutes
( & might I say a rather comical situation - to ME , observing ! ) Suddenly here comes Manfred ,( from Ursula's Polar Bears ) grabed the Oxens tail twisted it clockwise / holding it against its rump & with his other hand pushed this stubern brut into the trailer in 3 seconds - " Viola " - & exited as quickley a she had arived .
WOW - Superman-fred !
If this is a HIPPO, where would they carry a tank? Gary, you would know an elephant,/rino/hippo when you see one.
Bud I bought that buffalo when I was Superintendent of the Menagerie/Elephant Ride at CW. It was halter broke but needed to be attended daily, no one worked it after we went on the road.
Dutchess, I couldn't get the picture to enlarge this morning, but now it looks to me like a rhino? Legs too long to be a hippo.
I will have Richard Reynolds clear this matter up.
He would know if Wheeler & Almond carried a rhino in 1937.
I got to say Manfred was quite a powerful man for his size. The base for the polar bear merry go round was moved by several of the teeterboard bottom standers from props, but Manfred rolled it like a bull tub during the act.
