Virginia and Dan Fast's Snake Pit

This show traveled with Hennies Show in 1947. It had a 50' front with a 20' x 40' top, and the pit was 16' by 8'. This year they grossed over $16,000 in 10 weeks.
Toured with Thomas Joyland Shows in 1948-49, appeared only at Fairs 1950-51-52 and quit in 1953. Posted by Picasa

They must have been doing at least 6000 admissions a week at a quarter a pop to gross $16K in ten weeks in the late 40's. My Dad used to call those numbers, "A license to print money."
