Going to see "The Incrdible Shrinking Show" in Jax. Umm, don't expect any programs will be there yet, just last year's DVD's. Lol.

Great picture Buckles.

I just put away my 75-76 Red Unit bicentennial GSOE program. What a season that was. We had a spec that went from John Phillip Sousa to George M. Cohan, a "Paint Your Wagon" elephant number, and Henry Schroer's Charming Cavalcade of Capricious Camels! Two out of three ain't bad! (In all fairness Henry wasn't all that thrilled either.)

I think part of the problem is that the gee-whiz factor isn't there anymore. We now have an audience that is willing to pay to watch TV shows on their cell phones.

It is all whistles and bells... and another Circ du Souless "Tribute to Lights and Rigging!"

Gypsy will be in the news for quite a while now. Another a/r bullshit thing. No one will volunteer to take her as no funding is part of her deal. Funny if she and Nickolus become parents while all this hoopala is going on. Who gets to keep the baby? He is such a beautiful elephant. a/r boxed themselves in a corner with this one.

Cuneo elephants: Why aren't they being sold to other circuses like Carson and Barnes. They got 4 Cuneo elephants already didn't they? A big and little act. Nic and Obert, that would be one to see.

Carson and Barnes WAS going to take four but only got the Female African named Joy. There are stipulations as to what the elephants can be used for. They are allowed to breed and the offspring could be used as performers or ride elephants and display animals, but the Cuneo elephants can not perform in any circus. I'm not even sure if they are allowed to travel with a circus. Thus the simple fact is there is not a sole that can use them to generate any income to even begin to care for them. There probably is more to the story but that's what has been made public through the newspapers and USDA.

buckley is allowed to show them on her web site to beg for money. Is this not using them for profit? What about the "OBSERVATION" deck she plans to build to allow the public to pay to visit? All the other elephants are off camera, just the "DIVAS" as she calls them are shone to the public. They are beautiful as they always were when JC owned them. All the sudden they are "CURED" by her in tenn. Keeping them drugged with her "PRESCRIBED REMEDYS" shoud be againest the law. Probabley is but she is in Tenn and has a dog and cat vet doing her PRESCRIBING.

How does that fit into the USDA's directive ? I thought that congress gave the USDA the authority to enforce the endangered species act.How would saying that certain elephants can not earn a living ever be construed as part of their mandate ? Shouldn't someone be looking into the legal juridiction of the USDA ?
