From Circus Whitey

Buckles: Here is a close-up from a Koford/Conover shot of the pole wagon on the Cole show in 1943. I assume these contraptions on top are a couple of those old fashion stake pullers- the ones with the long pole in front whereby you could get leverage on a stake and get it out of the ground. Do you suppose the wheel in question is one of these with one wheel missing? Looks like a similar type wheel. Just a thought. Whitey
