Note the second set of doubletrees attached to the goose neck at the front of the pole which would indicate that it was pulled in spec by a four pony hitch.

When the Cole show left Louieville the spring of 49 never to return the equipment that never went on the road, heavy tools, saws, etc. plus Waxies extensive harness making equip, slicers, edgers, splitters, other machines also remained. Also the Goose and Shoe and maybe some extra wagons. Terrel was stilled owed money from Tavlin and his investors and the show went to quarters in Ojus, Fl. and then Wirtz paid off Terrel and got the show. After early AUG. closing it went to St. Louis Arena complex for a couple months that were unsatisfactory and then took over Terrel Jacobs farm in Bunker Hill at which time all the Louiville stuff arrived and Waxie and the other deptmts were back in full time biz. Chappie, some way personally acquired the Goose and a St. Louis undertaker got the Shoe during this period. I well remember the hard rubber and how Chappie wanted to get them back to their original state.

We had a Howard Bryant at the Old Place (Jungleland), who left just about when I arrived in '65. He was the brother, or half-brother, of Henry Tyndall, who trained the Tarzan and Jungle Jim chimps, and Norman Tyndall, who trained camels for circuses and the desert films. Does anyone know if the Howard Bryant in this shot is one and the same?
