Elephant Sanctuary #6

How this African got here was not explained but he sure has a nice brace of ivory. Looks as tho he is just coming from the river and will be chained to a tree for a while.

"FLOOZIE" is a great way to describe yourself (new identity, we see). Floozie for all you youngsters that don't know what it means, is a cheap tart (woman) who has no morals and goes after anyone's husbands or boyfriends, sleeps around (back when she was able anyway). I think it fits her lowness!

Her lowness, not to be confused with her highness. A long time ago, she took credit for a lot more than she was able to pull off and the likes of her "mentors" let her in return for other favors; If you get my drift.

If I remember correctly. The story was you wanted duchess and she liked men. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Am I getting close?

I wonder how much JC would pay me to get out of the Blog business?
I'm holding out for 2.5 mil.

Don't do it Buckles. Mr. C has lived his life as though everything and everyone has a price, and it didn't matter who he tried to put out of business to do it. Despite what our lady friend believes, I can't think of anyone who has been more disliked in the business. I have zero sympathy for anything that has happened to him. When he was young, his family gave him big bucks to "just go away" and he has carried that mentality into every aspect of his life.

Didn't I tell you Buckles? Sure am glad I did not move to Florida with her when she tried to take advantage of my youth and beauty 40 years ago.

The Pinnawela orphenage is not far from Colombo Zoo and I think they have African elephants there. I guess the picture is from Colombo Zoo.

Could this be a forest elephant? The ears don't look like a savannah elephant.

Think LARGE Buckles. 2 million is lunch money to you know who. He is probably either getting the biggest laugh or completely unaware of the events. I really don't think he uses a personal computer. God love him, people have tried to drag him threw the mud since birth. Being rich is not all its cracked up to be. I doubt if he gives it a second thought. He sure enjoys life to the fullest. And he does share, but does not flaunt it. I am not going to mention his name again as it seems to draw the crazys out. I sure hope Herta keeps her sense of humor about all this nonsense.

Sumanadasa was in Pinnawela when I was there in 2003.

G'day All,
This is one of my photos that I took back in '84, while staying and helping out at the Colombo Zoo. I took this photo just after all the elephants had been bathed and no he was not just chained to a tree, Babar was used to haul around browse to various areas of the zoo. As far as I know, there have only been four African elephants at the Colombo Zoo, one Forest and three Bush. I believe only one of the two young elephants that Randall swapped for Bibi is still alive at the zoo.

The following is my notes from my '84 working visit to the zoo:
BIBI
· born 1958(African bush elephant)
· she arrived in 1960 with BABAR
· she is around 8 1/2' and weighs around 3 1/2 ton
· 3 1/2' tusks crossed at the end
· good clear eyes
· long tail hair
· black nails, sixteen toe nails
· all mahouts can work around her but not without head mahout around
· she always keeps an eye on head mahout
· they aren't touched when head mahout isn't there
· very dangerous, worse than BABAR
· she is a runner, given a chance
· she can run fast with hobbles, except front to back
· good worker, but not used anymore
· she is only used one-two day a month to do any work
· she has done a one-foot trunk stand
· bad elephant

BABAR
· born 1956 (African forest elephant)
· arrived here around 1960
· stands approx. 8' and weighs around 4 1/2 - 5 ton
· six foot tusks
· 4-5" thick at base
· very long legs
· skinny
· good clear eyes
· he has 8-10" eyelashes
· 2 ft. round rip in left ear
· 15-17" tail hair, rubs on the ground
· back nails 5, front nails 5, back 4
· at one time three mahouts could work him, now only head mahout
· very bad elephant but very good with head mahout
· very quick to commands
· he has good balance
· never used for performance
· he is still used to bring food
· very good and fast working elephant
· he is the fastest worker, no one else other than the head mahout can stay around him when he is working only used once or twice a week to bring food
· no one can touch or go near him
· not to be trusted
· never shown any sign of musth

If anyone word like to see more photos of Bibi and Babar, just ask and I have a several more to share!

Happy Days
Wayne
