Bunni Bartok #1

I received these pictures several days ago from Bunni's friends Sue and Fred Menke and decided to show them today since she will receive a Memorial Celebration this afternoon in Sarasota at the Palms Funeral Home at 4 PM.
There will be a Reception at the Showfolks Club following the Service.

I suppose these would be the four Hunt Bros. elephants purchased by Bartok in 1967 "Chandre", "Sita", "Muna" and "Dinnu".

Yes it is. She was sold to Tommy in 1972.

Sita, Muna and Dinnu later on went to Larry Carden and Donnie Johnson. Larry Rucker worked them after Larry and Donnie purchased Clyde Bros. which came with 6 elephants. They sold those 3 to Vargas while Rex was there and I heard they were sold to mexico. I am not sure what show? I did not know they were on The Bartok show.

In the late 50's Hunt Bros. played Palisades Park with a new 5 ring tent. The managerie was so neat it was well lit, pine shavings knee high, I was a brat kid then and Roy Bush was the captain. I got to sell peanuts in front of the bulls. I don't remember how many elephants they had at that time. I remember big ones and a few little ones. My question, do you know how many there was during that period?
It seemed like alot when I was a kid!
