The first time I saw this act was in the small building in Hammond, IN when the Kimris were still performing. Years later I recall Bill and Trudy working in large buildings where the act was sensational. Climbing the ladders almost to the rafters and then they'd drop the ladders, "trapping" them high up in the rocket rigging. Trudy's toe-hang finale scared me every time.
How about more aerial act history from Bill. I'm many of us enjoy his comments.
I humbly, (and honestly), answer any compliments as follows. We practiced this act twice a day for a month, under the close supervision of Lee, & Henri, and did what we were told, and any credit goes to them. We do take credit for knowing a good thing,(the routine) when we saw it, and "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
They are probably a handsome older couple now... it has been a few years since I saw them. Handsome, humble, great performers, wonderful people, and able to leap tall stacks of complements in a single bound! Ron Perry
It has been a treat to see you Bill and Trudy work the act and years ago in the fities witness the KIMRIS work the Davenport Shrine Circus in Columbus, OH....Good example on why we enjoyed those great shrine circuses.... Thank you all for what you have done in the circus....
Seeing this picture reminds me so much of Johnny Zoppe and his wife. What ever happened to them? I LOVE your site, Buckles. I feel so fortunate to have worked with you and your beautiful family. and, you really should write a book!!
No book ever writen could come close to being as informative funny, accurit, labor of love as this BLOG. If you print out every page, you have the BOOK. Buckles explained the nitty, gritty as to why he doesn't "write" a book in an earlier blog comment. It is not as easy as it may seem to some people.

Somehow I can not see Bill and Trudy doing this!!! I am impressed. I think I saw this act. Any where after 1958 to 1968?

To bad the Felds didn't follow your example when they came up with the "Incredeble Shrinking Show"
