Barnum & Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth #4


This is a 1917 shot of the Barnum & Bailey elephant herd in a corral menagerie. Two tuskers are "Pilate" and "Mighty".

Nice shot of the lot! I suppose that in the background are the cat cages. They are spaced quite far apart. How did they tunnel the cats into the cage spaced like that? Thanks, Gary

These are cages dsplaying animals in the menagerie only. Cages for performing animals would have been spotted in the back yard.
