Albert Powell #2

I have just recently made a DVD of all the aerialists I had on VHS. Ones that did real tricks without gimmicks or cables. Our number has significantly diminished and I don't feel we will have aerial acts like Struppi, Dolly, Bellinda,
Dinky, La Norma, etc. anymore.

Any chance that anonymous would be interested in selling a copy of the DVD with the aerial acts?

I would kill for a VHS copy of Struppi. Have never seen a DVD or the thing you play them on. I'm still in the good old days. *8 track and all.

One of our female flyers (maybe Kathy) did a trick that looks like this on the flying trapeze to the catcher. It wasn’t very graceful because she had to get up to a sitting position on her back swing, and at the top of her swing she’d spin around the bar backwards and reach out to the catcher. Obviously this is not what Albert is doing, and I only mention it because this trick was suggested to from a dear senior famous tiny trapeze artist who worked in costuming a CW. I may be mistaken but I think she was the first lady to do the triple? It might have been a dream, getting hard to tell the difference lately because it all seems like a dream. Kathy like the trick because it was fun, and a rush because fast, and blind, and over with before you knew what happened.

The trick you are refering to in a flying act is called a seat roll.

LJ Your discription of the flying act could be another famous act. Fast and over before you know what happened. Also fun.

Rebecca, if anonymous with the DVD is who I think it is, we both saw her perform last summer with the Kelly Miller Circus.
Her act was excellent and brought back many memories of the aerialists she discribes.
