Karen is on a roll.... 1982.
Will list names later.
Dan Pyle is next to Ben at the end? Gary
Surely you remember Dan Pyle at the extreme right. On the Ringling Show in the morning when the bus brought the crew to the building from the train everyone headed for the elephant tent except Dan who would take off for the building.
I would show up when the picket line was about half cleaned out and ask "Where in the Hell is that Indian?" and always receiving the same answer I re-christened him "Doniker Dan".
Another tardy boy was Rigor Mortis, The morning call has been 8 O'Clock from time immomorial but when I would accost Rigor he would he would say something like "I thought the call today was 8:11".
Buckles,Bill Bouthelier,Gary Jacobson,Ben Williams,Shannon,
Dalilah,Tom,????
& Cheating; I missed good ole Dan.
Quite a CREW - Every one I ever knew always had emense respect & admiration for you & your leadership as " the Captain "
Grumpy, Sleepy, Dopy, Mopey, Sneezy, Sleazy & Chuck?
Bouthellier and Dan await us in heaven, as does Foul Raul.
Chico was with me when this picture was taken, he might have been working the ride or maybe was loaned out. I sent him to Carson & Barnes for a while when Oakie Carr was having an operation on one of his eyes.
By the way, I don't think everyone has been identified:
Back row- Buckles, Bill Bouthellier, Gary Jacobson, Johnathan Smith (Barbara's nephew), Wayne Pilz, Shannon, Ben and Dan Pyle.
Bottom row- Tom Haffner, Dalilah and Army Maguire.
OK Gary J. looks too heavy, Tom looks too old and I forgot about Army. I'll sent ya some pictures of a little elephant that Bruno the Tent guy had in Dallas. Army had me taking care of the little guys feet. Gary
Did Dan work on the Beatty-Cole show during the late 1980's into the early 1990's with Fred and Walther Logan? If so Fred nicknamed him "Dangerous Dan".
Thanks for a response.
Joe
