Beers-Barnes Circus 1943/ "Alice" and Lois Barnes


This is Roger Barnes daughter Lois (Mrs. Dave Hoover) with "Alice" who had previously been with Sun Bros. Circus, Johnny J. Jones Carnival and Barnett/Wallace Bros. Circuses from whom she was leased in 1943.
"Alice" was eventually purchased and remained with the show until her death in 1960.

I recently found a poster for Beers Barnes Circus, featuring "4 ton Congo Alice". There is no year date or town name. admission fee is .65 cents adults and 30 cents children. Poster is in excellent condition
