Pat Valdo. This shot graced publicity for RBB. In 1919, John Ringling called him to the office. He was taking Valdo out of the Alley, and placing him as Director of Personnel, adding, "Handle the job as you see fit." He held the position for 50 years. I've heard it said, two men on RBB never made an enemy--Merle Evans and Pat Valdo.

He took on William Allan Rosenthal as his assistant

& trained him to take over when Pat finally retired

Many of us that knew or still remember William only

knew him as Bob Dover
