The brightlight powers who control

this Blog system decided to once

again change the rules & procedures

to maintain a presence like before

After a few futile attempts I gave

it a lengthy break as you know

The Hurricane forced cancellation

of some of my intended inspection

& preparation of effects equipment

here in NY at the Gershwin in prep

for the resumption of performances

of "Wicked" on Broadway so cooped

up in the hotel I decided to give

it another attempt at the Blog

With much annoyance it's working

Being much more time consuming

It will be hit & miss a while

Your hits are worth it.

Trust you will keep the blog, so we can research and review all that this has meant to us.

THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH, was the best sub-title in the business.

The question is, who first authored the words, James A. Bailey, or P.T. Barnum?

One story goes, P.T. saw the slogan, exclaimed that "It has everything!", and set about at once to meet Mr. Bailey. Another claims Barnum coined the phrase upon gaining the partnership, and putting his name up front.

Who should be cited as originator of these illustrious words?

I agree with ERIC about the Blogsite, and with CHIC about the slimeballs.

Mr. Bailey is chronicled as the most capable minute-to-minute circus manager ever. Other showmen came around to learn how the hell he did it.
