Sorry folks but I had to take some time off

Just learned of Tai's death from trusted friends

Don Covington & Casey Gibbs only last night

There is no actual date of her death shown

She had been with Kari & Gary for many years

They had all moved to Fredericksburg Texas

some years back to "The Preserve"

I believe there are still 3 elephants there

Tai was 55 & born in the wild in 1966

I worked with Gary and Kari with Rosie during my time at Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines. They are a first class operation and a pleasure to work with. Very sad news to learn of Tai and Dixie's passing.

My condolences to Kari & Gary in the loss of your magnificent co-stars. I share your sorrow. I only had elephants for 6 months on Howard Suesz's Clyde Bros--Mary, Sue, and Marge. I learned of their deaths months after they were gone, and the sadness is lasting.

All good wishes for continued success with those who remain with you.

Tai starred in WATER FOR ELEPHANTS. She was prettier than Reese Witherspoon.
