In my San Antonio bartending daze, the additives in my Bloody Marys gave me legendary status. Bartenders on the next shifts asked me to stay on to keep mixing them for some very happy patrons.
Veterans of the craft explained that vodka made from beets caused my red nose.

A little cloudy with chance of woozy
Today vodka is made from many different things
such as beets potatoes wheat and even grapes
The product doesn’t depend on the ingredients
so much as it depends on the method of production
It's unlikely to be able to taste the difference
as by law it is not permitted to have a distinctive
taste except for additives after distillation
