The original tramp juggler is said to be James Edward Harrigan. If this is Dukenfield, he billed himself as "The Tramp Juggler" in 1898, by then working as W.C. Fields. There were many tramp jugglers, and he soon dropped that appearance to become "The Eccentric Juggler". For many years, even in the era of Rastelli, Fields was also called the world's greatest.
