My pleasure....I was most fortunate to have seen the Cristiani Family perform while still in their prime. They had been on the Cole Show and then became partners with Floyd King (King Bros. Circus). The Family Riding act just stayed with you forever...it was spell binding to say the least. All of the other acts they performed were cream of the crop. Each time I hear "BRAZIL" I can still see Ortans doing a one hand stand on top of Freddies head....while on the roller boller...which was on an elevated pedstal to add another thrill. Freddie being Freddy Canestrelli her husband.
King Bros. Circus was the first circus I ever saw..as a small boy. My mother took me along with another relative and her young son. I soaked everthing up like a sponge..just could not get anough of the experience ...It was truly a straw house and I did not realize we missed the Grand Entry because of that factor. I was bitten hard by the circus bug and never recovered. Years later, I saw the cousin who had attended the circus with us. I mentioned what a great day it had been for me...He immediately replied, "I don't even remember going to the circus". Isn't it strange how one person can still remember that day as if it were yesterday.....and the other person was so unimpressed he could not even remember attending the circus. I found that to be quite sad for him....
