Good to have you back Chic. I visited Mannheim in 1978, while backpacking around Europe. There were posters up for a musical "Anatevka", which sure enough was "Fiddler on the Roof." I went- it was done in German, I must admit it was odd to be watching a musical about Jewish peasants in a German theater, 33 years after the end of World War II, when there must have been a lot of people in the audience who were in the German Army, former Nazis, what-have-you.
And, like audiences everywhere, they loved it. I think that's a good thing, and shows the power that art and entertainment can sometimes have.
