Following the hallowed career of Lillian Leitzel, only one star rose in the spotlight to renew our realization of circus stardom. This came when Victoria Unus captivated her audiences as La Toria. Her performance will not be equaled, nor its like seen again.
I said "rose in the spotlight", since La Toria starred as an aerialist.
None of us are forgetting an equally stellar star, our leading Empress of the Elephants, whose beauty entranced everyone who saw her--Barbara Woodcock.
