Saw the Casselly family at Monte Carlo in 2015. An absolutely superb act with elephants guided using a buggy whip. Well deserved Gold Clown winners.

Met Rene, Jr while he was walking his dog on the seawall behind the Marriott. A very nice young fellow who seems to be emerging as a star in his own right.

Thanks Charles & staying off topic

Our National Tour had been playing

at the Saenger in New Orleans but

had to cancel as of last Saturday

due to the building collapse just

a block away & the streets were

closed off so I'll be shorted 1½

weeks of money but it should open

at The Fabulous Fox on Wednesday

the 23rd through November 17th

Our Broadway Company will become

the 5th longest Brodaway run on

October 27th just ahead of the

16th anniversary on the 30th

Bob,

Rest assured an elephant hook(or ankus or guide if that does not offend sensibilities) is close at hand, usually at the back of the ring out of sight. Exactly like a spur on a rider's heel used when necessary to apply pressure the rest of the time just close at hand. In the hands of an unskilled person, a buggy whip can be more harmful than either a bull hook or spurs.
