Welcome to Buckles Blog. This site is for the discussion of Circus History all over the world.
Jill Freedman who immersed herself for months at a time in the lives of cops, firefighters, & circus performers died Wednesday the 9th at a care facility in Manhattan She was 79
Jill published a book titled "Circus Days" of photographs she took while traveling with the "Beatty Show" in the 70s
She made friends with many of the performers & staff but mostly with the clowns Billy "Gladys" McCabe was her favorite & they spent much time together
SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE LOSS OF I AM SURE A GOOD FRIEND OF YOURS CHIC !!
Not really Casey but I met her several times while on the show She befriended several clowns An odd duck but very pleasant
