It's a good day when Professor RJR comments as you are sure to learn something about animals. My question is this? Is there a definite way to tell what species or sub-species of zebra was used to cross on a horse? Strips, size, body shape, ears, etc. or are the characteristics all the same if different stallions are used. Will an equine stallion crossed on a zebra mare give you the same look as a zebra stallion crossed on an equine mare?
I hope you are well Richard, as you are indeed a valuable resource in this dwindling animal industry.

LOOKS LIKE BOBBY HAS A FEW "HOLIDAYS " ON THIS PAINT JOB !!
This looks to be a hybrid between a Grevy Zebra and a horse
