As my father and were walkink toward the performers entrance to the tent Sadie came blasting out. My dad pushed me out of the way and she went flying by. An exciting memory I will always remember. She was heading for her tire.
Sadie goes back to the days of the Woodcock-Miller Bros baby elephants, a partnership between Col. Woodcock (Buckles dad) and D.R.Miller. The other two elephants in the act were Lydia and Anna-Mae. Buckles got Anna-Mae, Lydia was with Bobby Gibbs for a while, and don't know about Sadie probably on Carson & Barnes.
