Lou Jacobs posed for classic Winterquarters shots with these giraffes--Boston and Edith. I believe, if this little girl turns around, we'd see Lou had applied his makeup to her.
These are the parents of Boston. They were Edith and Shorty. Edith went back on RBBB to 1936 whereas Shorty was obtained in 1942 after the Cleveland fire. Edith was first named Soudana after the place of her birth. Then she became Edith after Mrs. Edith Ringling, widow of Charles.

I'm glad to be corrected. So Boston is the newborn named on the sign, but not seen in this shot.
