I believe this is in the Zambezi river. Very wide, but only about 6 feet deep. Wonderul photo, it makes me happy, and reminds me of some of Dorey Miller's elephants playing in the Red River of N. Dakota, 1978.

I loved watching my herd swim up at Great Adventure the first 2 years it opened..you can go to youtube and type Gary Hill Great Adventure...I have 5 videos some of Circus World too..

You can find Gary's video of the swimming elephants (LOTS of Africans) by searching Gary Hill Great Adventure. It is Part 3, and the elephant swimming starts about 2 1/2 minutes in. All of it is good, but the elephants in the water are having a blast.

Gary, how big was that herd? I know the park is still around, do they still have elephants? If not, what happened to them?
