Welcome to Buckles Blog. This site is for the discussion of Circus History all over the world.
The 2 "Lookout Lounges" on both train sets were the Sandy Creek & our well known Hickory Creek
Both "Creeks" have been magnificently restored Norfolk Southern has the Sandy Creek & a private New Jersey club rents out the Hickory Creek for high roller trips
The 2 Creeks were not identical by any stretch but looked alike at a distance & not together The Sandy Creek has a back door
Thanks for train info Chic. In my days we were mostly truck shows. Even in my Ice Follies days in 1969 they had gone too truck. CLARK TRANSFER !!
I rode this as a kid and in the rear end. There was not a door. Near Albany a helper steam engine was used. And that was exciting to see it pull up and latch on.
Are you 1 of Lloyd Jr & Joan's kids or just a friend of the family Bill Hickory Creek had been Lloyd Sr & then LLoyd Jr's family car I had 2 trips in it later on when Baker Brown had inherited it
Love this old railroad artwork!!!
