Welcome to Buckles Blog. This site is for the discussion of Circus History all over the world.
I worked on that one. The inside of the barrel is not functional.
What do you mean by not functional? Poorly made, or this was really just for display only?
When the Zacchinis donated any of their cannons to museums all of the interior mechanical components were removed (duh)
During a Jimmy Harrington date in Puerto Rico back in the 70s I was able to help Pappa with an issue regarding the electrical conntrol system in his cannon for which he then trusted me with all the workings unique in all of the Zacchini machines Although I have worked on many cannons since I have never betrayed that trust
Some of the details of propulsion although somewhat similar no one has been able to copy exactly how it's done & probably never will Pappa was also a great Italian cook as many lucky guests remember
Edmondo "Pappa" was the eldest brotherr
He died on October 3rd 1981 He was then 87 years old
