Young an Hat from Korea purchased the forklift part about 2003, but it had been sold before when they closed their plant in Battle Creek Michigan in 1986. I think Ingersol Rand had the Bobcats and other construction equipment lines but has since been sold to Doosan. They have since starting building trucks again in KY. It was a real mess when they closed the parts department depot in Battle Creek as far as getting parts for older machines. Fired 1000 workers and didn't upgrade their older part system catalogs from Mirofilm to Superdos. I guess they have changed their business model since, but for a time it was a mess as they didn't care about the older 10's of thousands of machines you couldn't get parts for. p.j.
HERC started here in Houston many years ago. In 2016 HERC became independent and moved HQ to south Fla? Ford Motor got out of Hertz in about 2005 and private equity companies purchased Hertz. p.j.

I was the 1st to get to
play with this new toy
which I considered my
Christmas present in 78
(sorry I didn't keep it)
This model "Clark" was much
improved from the previous
units bought for the Blue Show
Have had a number of Clark lifts over the years and easy to work on. Since they sold out, their products aren't as user friendly. p.j.
Who owns the company now PJ
I followed the many sales of
the Melroe Bobcats up until
it went to Doosan in Korea

Yes PJ I know about IR as my
youngest brother Larry Silber
was the president of their
"Power" division that purchased
the Bobcats from Eaton Yale but
then got the rug pulled out from
under when his group was sold
to Doosan by surprise to him
He made a deal to run it in Korea
for 2 years but couldn't wait
to get back to the US of A
He's doing just fine as
he is now the president &
CEO of the Hertz Equipment
Rental Corp that was spun
off from Hertz

Yes Pj it was in 2016 when
HERC (HRI) spun off that he
became the "founding" CEO
& President & moved down
to Naples to be near HERC's
headquarters in Estero so
I get to see him more often
Usually in Punta Gorda which
is about half way
Igersoll Rand only sold
the Power division PJ
not the entire company
I still hold a grudge as
he never gave me a Bobcat
