Peggy MacDonald took Bill Jounston and I to visit Emil and Hannah. They all lived close to each other in New Braunfels. Bill stayed with me while researching his writing projects at the late Hertzberg Collection. We enjoyed two nights with the Pallenbergs. Hannah kept the beer flowing, and the jackpots ranked among the best.

I can still recall seeing the great Pallenberg bear act on RBBB in 1939.
