Elvin Bale's heel catch trap act shone with an elegant style his alone. I first met and admired Elvin in the Agrodome, in Vancouver, on Uncle Sid Kellner's James Bros., in 1969.

Believe Elvin was tutored by Gerald Soules....But he made this act his own. He took it to another level in my opinion.

Two sources claimed to me that after Gerry's bad fall, Elvin bought the act from him, and Gerry indeed stayed on as teacher.
