Aside from this Dragon tracked coaster

& the #5 Kiddie Whip which were both

considered punk rides all of the rest

were called "Major Rides" in my time

Exactly, and then when the Spectacular Rides started showing up...The Backend shows were slowly squeezed off the lot. The show owner could make more money off the larger rides then the footage or in some cases percentage paid by the Shows. And to some extent, the public views changed, and shows that had unusual people fell out of favor. In that time period, the acts in a 10 in 1 were given gainful employment and the Feature Acts sold cards with their photos, info and this was the inside money in addition to their regular salaries. You did not have food stamps and all the various Government Hand Outs like today. The people in the side show were able to make a living on their own as they could not work at a so called regular job. But the do gooders could not wait to jump on the Bandwagon so between Spectacular Rides and change in public tastes...the shows were eventually eliminated for the most part. A few still exist but not many....
