Although compact this zoo

has a vast assortment of

animals well presented in

a great park like setting

It is conveniently located

directly adjacent to the

Central Railway Station

I remember you could see some of the trains in the station from the top of the bear enclosures. Great zoo, some classic buildings and some amazing animals.

I was truly amazed at how much

& how well presented it all was

The design & layout along with

incredible land & tree scapeing

allowed each exhibit area seem

to be alone in view

I have no idea about the current

state of the Toronto Zoo but many

years back when in it's infancy

there seemed to be a gazillion

open acres with very few animals

& not much else to enjoy

I've had great opportunities

to visit some of the world's

finest zoos with incredible

collections presented well

A favorite is Taronga Zoo

across Sydney Harbor from

Circular Quay where all the

ferries start from
